Last Friday the 6th I hit Glassmond with my kids in the morning in hopes of some pan fish. The pond delivered but nothing of size , all were small Sun fish caught on a size 14 hook with a mealie under a bobber. Later that night the kids went to grandmas and the wife and I made it out on the Bear river for some catting. It is about a foot from flood stage out west of the Forest street exit. Fishing was slow to fair, producing 2 cats and 2 carp, but we had a great time.
Yesterday I hit the Ogden between Dino park and Lorin Farr Stadium and picked up 4 Browns, lost 2 at the bank and a few strikes here and there. I was floating a rapala on a slow retrieve and it seemed to produce the most action. All in all a great little Easter weekend to be out and about.

Thanks for posting your report BT, sounds like they haven't stocked Glassman's pond yet this year but at least the kids caught a few fish. Was there any size to the cats you caught on the Bear? WH2

Was the river high? And was It murky to? I was up by the alaskan inn and it was about a foot high.

I talked with the fish and fin and they said they are going to stalk Glassmond sometime near the end of this month he thought. As for the cats nothing to big, my wife did manage one that ran about 3.5Lbs. The Bear was high and murky but the Ogden was running clear and still low. It was maybe a foot higher then the winter run, but not as high as I expected.
