Hookjaw Brimhall and I have an annual Gorge/Green trip that we would like to invite people to join. This year the dates are June 2-4th.

We have reserved a campsite at the Cedar Springs Campground.... about 150 yards from the water. If you would like to go you can reserve your campsite here: http://www.reserveamerica.com/generateBrowseMap.do?topTabIndex=CampgroundMap&pageOrigin=mapBrowse&map=PARK&agency=NRRS&parkId=85

There are still plenty of spots available.

We normally have a full day on the Green, and a full day on the Gorge. We rent a boat at Cedar Springs Marina. If anyone goes that has a boat, and doesn't mind tag a longs, we would be happy to pay for the gas.

We have a great time fishing up there every year. We normally do very well on the lake and the river.

If anyone is interested, just reply to the post or send me a PM. We would like to get a good size group going.

Should be a lot of fun! [Smile]

The rainbows are shallow in the reservoir, and some hogs are being taken. Caught a bunch on the fly gear a few days ago at one of the marinas. The green is fishing very well too. Floated yesterday and got into some on top. They werent smacking them like theres no tomorrow, but they took 'em pretty well. Chernobyls are already taking fish, and midges are taking plenty as well. Even a few bwo's fluttering around. Streamers have been good some days, but nymphing remains the most consistent way to take these trout. Stop in at the flaming gorge lodge for the most up to date fishing reports, as well as the hot flies.

What day will you guys be fishing the Gorge and not the Green. If my back can handle it I would be willing to put in at Sheep Creek and cruise down the canyon and hook up with you guys. I can't justify camping it is just to close to home for me.
