Hopefully these pics in the posts aren't too big. If they are, I'm sure the mods will resize or let me know so that I can delete the pictures and re add them as attachments.

Went out yesterday to a familiar spot with my buddy Richard, his wife Chandelle and my fiance Wendy. Started the girls out fishing first and then Rich and I got into the act. Rich and Chandelle started it off catching the first couple and then Wendy and I hooked into fish as well. Wendy wound up with only a couple fish on the day but she still had a good time. I promised her that next time I'd hook her up with spinners so that she wouldn't have to develop the "feel" that our other methods require.... thats actually how I started fishing is with spinners so I'd be able to help her out with that style too. Chandelle was whacking the fish pretty consistently and Richard and I also got our fair share on plastics. We fished through the same section we hit the last time and made the decision to go a little further downstream. Wendy and I went to a section that has produced some nice wild rainbows for me before but I only wound up with a couple bulky browns... no complaints here!!! Big Grin We walked further downriver to find Rich and Chandelle, only to see them heading back. Richard said that they stuck a couple fish down there but I wasn't there obviously so I'll let him explain that part of the trip or add whatever he wants. As they walked back, I fished a fast moving riffle area with my minnow and actually got to see the big brown roll on my bait. As soon as I saw him gobble it, I set the hook and had the privelege of landing a nice brown in front of my friends... gave me a pretty good sense of satisfaction. It was a good day, although a bit chilly at times, but the company, the fishing, and the scenery would be near impossible to beat. Here's some pictures... my camera had a smudge on the lense so thats why my pictures are a bit cloudy.

Riverrat I have to second TS that is a awsome looking river. It looks like it would be a good place to teach my wife to through the spinners. IF you do not want to post the place I understand. Also would you considering PMing me. I do not need specifics to your honey holes just a general local of what river it is.

thanks

Hey TD that's a nice picture of you in the float tube, must have been just before the Col. about ran you over.[cool]

[cool][#0000ff]That picture was taken by a good friend and a good photographer.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]I cropped out the part of the picture with the bubbles coming up from the Colonel's sunken boat. He didn't believe that one of my rod holders had a surface to surface missile in it.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]We gonna meet up on the water pretty quick? I've been hankerin' for a Willard Bay "grand slime" trip...wipers, walleyes, cats and crappies. That is usually a good possibility around the end of April through May. Hope the water level comes up a tad.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Say hi to Lady B. for us.[/#0000ff]

Thanks for the kind words, I probably won't make it out until the end of next week, the Mrs. and I drew Turkey tags for the first part of May so I will probably be doing some scouting before then. I haven't been on the water yet this spring, I just got the boat back from it's annual physical last weekend and with Easter last weekend I couldn't fit a trip in. I've also been busy setting up a 2 week trip to Alaska for her and I next spring. We have never been there before, except a short layover for me in 67 on the way to Nam. Have a great day and I thought the pictures of the couples fishing in this thread were great.[cool]

You're right, there isn't much snow up there. Pat, I think I found an option on Photobucket where I can resize the photos so I can put them in the post. What are the max dimensions you guys want? I thought it was on here but couldn't find it. The guys that want the info on the river, I'll PM you today while I'm at work with the name. I just don't want to put it on here because I've had my chops busted before for putting the info on the place here on the forum.... you know, the cyber scouter drill and all that. [pirate] So anyway, thanks for the compliments and everything. You guys are a first class bunch on here!!

RR77,
I wouldnt mind a little more info on where you were. I dont need honey hole locations just roughly where you were and what river. I am kind of like you, fish, photograph, and scenery!!! That looks like a good place for all three. Thanks again.
