In an effort to continue to improve the resources directly from the forum and at many users "new feature requests" we will be making some layout changes to the forum.
We will be adding an additional column called something like "BFT Resources and Media Center".
This column will be to the right of the existing column and will include additional user resources and dynamically updated information.
If you have your screen resolution set to 800 x 600 pixels the forums will look almost identical to you and you will have to scroll on the bottom to see this column but for users with higher resolution then 800 x 600 you will automatically be able to take advantage of these new features with no scrolling. Some of the upcoming items include:
Dynamic weather center snippet that will include, tides, game feeding tables, lounar/solunar tables, weather forecasts and weather warnings. Fishing News- There will be a small box in the column that will update fishing news throughout the day.
State Pages- Coming later will be a dynamic state map that will link to all new state pages that feature posts, news, regional articles, and much more information specific to the area. Moderator banners will also be added to these pages.
Audio and Video Features- As some of you may have noticed from the video section, we are adding clips for partner fishing shows in the video section. We will be adding more and will also be working with a couple of radio shows for "podcasts" these will become available via this column in the future and will be updated based on viewership popularity. So popular video and audio items will be featured on this tab.
There are some other items in the works for this tab but are in early stages of development so we will announce them when they get closer.
We are working hard to continue to offer users the most comprehensive fishing resource available online and hope that users enjoy the new features.
Further it is our goal to continue to offer users the latest technology available online to ensure they get the most of their time on bft. We have further, developed these new solutions in a way that should not effect current load times. If you have any suggestions or comments please post them here.
