Heading to Deer Creek Satuday with my dad and his boat. We will target whatever anyone thinks is a good bet, so, what's a good bet? Sounds like most have been having success for trout around Charleston, any reports of bass? Walleye? Any help would be appreciated!

I will be there in the A.M. trolling for trout. I would sure like help on targeting walleyes as I know nothing about them. Say HI if you see us we will be in a large white pontoon w/ down riggers.

WE POUNDED THE BOWS TROLLING CD #7,S ALL AROUND THE ISLAND AND THE WEST BANK. THE EYES ARE MOVING TOWARDS THE SPAWNING AREAS. CHUCK CAUGHT THE ONLY BASS AND IT CAME OFF THE EAST BANKS FLOODED COVER.

we'll wave if we see you, will be in a tracker v17 with a bunch of rods. We will probably start trolling--use cds and floaters, maybe even experiment with the downriggers if we graph any fish down deep. for walleyes, do most people just bottom bounce a nightcrawler or is there some kind of plug that works well? What did your friend use to find the bass?

BOTTOM BOUNCERS WORK BUT BETTER AFTER THE FISH GET MOORE ACTIVE POST SPAWN. WE CAST RAPALAS FOR BASS. THE SAME ONES WE TROLL. JUST TWITCH THEM IN SLOW. THE WALLEYES WILL BE CONGRAGATING ON THE BEDS SOON AND SOME WILL RUN THE RIVER. JUST NOT THE 1000,S THAT DID PRE JORDANELLE. THAT SCREWED THE RUN BIGTIME IN THE PROVO. WATER IS WAY COLDER THAN THE RUN OFF WATER. SO THE EYES SHIFTED MOORE TO INLAKE STRUCTURES. IN A MONTH OR SO HIT THE FLATS. YOU WILL FIND SOME THERE.
