Along the south end of the Detroit River, the walleye fishing is reported as being good anywhere between Wyandotte and Lake Erie. Anglers are reeling in a few perch by the marinas along the river. There were several walleye contests this weekend , water temp in the mid 30's and water was "muddy".
And in the Monroe area, the walleye fishing is spotty on Lake Erie. The best spots to drop a line in the water are near Turtle Island, Luna Pier and Toledo Beach, in water 15 to 20 feet deep.
On the North Channel between Algonac and Deckers Landing the walleye fishing is fair. Anglers are using vertical jigs tipped with a rubber worm
