Fished Powell Thursday and Friday. We left out of Bullfrog and there was wide open striper fishing near the mouth of Halls Creek and the main channel. We trolled rapalas till we caught some stripers. Mainly the points produced fish. Once we found the points holding fish we chummed up anchovies and brought the fish right under the boat. At one point my father in law had 7 casts and 7 stripers. You could just drop the anchovy under the boat and watch them come up and eat it. We lost count, but numbers were well over a hundred. Fish were anywhere from a pound to three or four. Best tactic was a tube jig in either white or chartreuse tipped with some achovy. Fish were mostly in 15 to 30 feet but could be caught anywhere.

We fished the smaller inlets in Halls Bay where the water was warmer and the smallmouths and largemouths were biting. We didn't fish for bass too much since we didnt have a trolling motor, but we did manage a few. It was a great trip.

I am leaving for Powell here in about 3 hours, for a 5 day adventure. I talked to Reelfast, he said they killed them down there. Get the all white wally divers he said. Everyone I have talked to says pretty much and lure/jig in white is working well. Post a report when I get back either Thursday night or Friday morning!!!
