I'm sure everyone here knows about the carp at Utah Lake.

Im concerned and I e-mailed a letter to the Utah Division Wildlife.

I know TubeDude and some of you eat cats from Utah (so have I) but now for some reason Im worried about cattin' around Utah Lake.

Has there been any test on other fish besides carp?

[cool][#0000ff]I just posted last week that the results of extensive testing by Texas A&M University labs will be finished within a month or so. They sampled large numbers (of all sizes) of all the other species besides carp. The main focus was on channel cats, walleyes and white bass...the fish most often consumed from Utah Lake.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I anticipate that when the final results come in that they will be accompanied by analysis and recommendations from EPA, Food and Drug or other regulatory agencies to let us know what the levels mean and how that should affect our future consumption.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Until then, there is no need to speculate or to run around screaming that the sky is falling. A lot of people have simply quit eating fish from Utah Lake. Others have been eating lots of it for many years and do not seem to be concerned.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]It will be what it will be and we will all need to make our own decisions on how the levels affect us personally.[/#0000ff]

[angelic][#0000ff]Having an extra arm might be great. Sure would come in handy when I catch a glow-in-the-dark catfish on both of my two rods at the same time. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]It would also give me some help in fighting off those huge mutant ninja mosquitoes.[/#0000ff]
