We just returned from pineview looking for tiger musky. I have to give props to xmlfish and flycasting, their advice helped. We boated 1 tiger and hooked up but lost 2 others. Unfortunately, I was not the happy man in the pic. My tiger got wrapped up in the weeds and we spent about 5 minutes trying to net it. The line eventually broke and all I could do was watch the fish I have never caught swim away. All in all it was a great day.
We also caught 2 good sized smallmouth, but I didn't take any pics of those fish.

Thanks for posting your report and welcome to the site. Don't sound like too bad of a day, at least you had one on and your partner got one in. How big was the fish that you lost? WH2

That's awesome you guys hooked into a few. [cool]
What were you getting them on?

Looks like a sucessful trip! Nice photos. I hope to snag me one or two of those tigers this year but I'm not sure just how to aproach them. Were you casting into cover, trolling shallows or jigging for yours?

The two we did not boat were about the same size as the one in the picture. I hooked up on one with a green spinnerbait and the one we caught was on a deep diving crankbait. We were cruising the shoreline throwing our lures. We tried trolling, but didn't get anything trolling. All in all, it was a lot of fun, I plan to make at least one or two more trips to pineview this summer!
