Hit the 'Nelle early this morning, it was cold but not as cold as I thought it was going to be. I was there for about 4 hours. Water temp. in main lake was 47* The bass were'nt very active after (during) this cold front. I caught one smallmouth and my buddy caught one largemouth. I did hook into a 20" bow on a 5" grub. I got slime on hands, yuk![pirate]
Missed a couple in 18' of water. Should be good this weekend.

Nice fish, I wish I could catch bows and bronzebacks out of the same lake around here. It does look cold, Ive already got my first sunburn[cool] It's going to be in the mid to upper 90's the last half of this week.........

There was one other bass boat on the water when I got there about 8. I saw maybe 4 boats on the water and a couple launching when I left. On my way down the canyon there were some boats headed up. The weather had warmed up by then but the w*&^ started blowing. The bank tanglers were over PWC ramp fishing to get out of the wind.

Flygoddess, in the morning there were trout hitting the surface like crazy. One was about 5' from the front of the boat and as it swam away there was a path of air bubbles for about 3 feet. Almost makes me want to fly fish...

Woah!!! Skunk? That's not good at all. Where the river comes in there is alot of deadfall and patches of "stuff", small sticks, debris, leaves, etc. The troutskies were hitting something on the edges of these patches. I would bet that a better trout fisherman than myself could do pretty well right now up there.
