Can you catch walleye still fishing like with a whole worm?
Ive never caught one but I wonder if you can still fish a whole nightcrawler.
That may be a silly question but I'm curious.

yes it is common. minnows and worms are the best bait for still fishing eyes.

My first 2 eyes were at willard fishing for catfish with a crawler on the bottom.

Nice fish. Do you use a weight, if so a slider ?

on that day we were hitting them on chub minnows with a sliding (egg) weight. with a 3 foot leader a orange and yellow little corky next to the hook sliding as well with a split shot about 6" from the minnow. so the corky would hold the minnow up off the bottom about 6" . i think i cought 6 or 8 fish that day.. it was a good eye day.

My wife and me are on a quest to catch one as we have never fished for them, being from Cal we never had a chance for them. They look like fun.

[cool]Yep. Caught my first ever 'eye that way at Lincoln Beach about 10 feet off shore off the South dike where the channel goes into the main lake, so yes, it can be done. Also caught two white bass doing that too that early evening...
