So after a really long day @ work just watching the clock not moving like i wanted it to and when it finally hit 4:30 i headed out to the newest urban fishing hole in the valley for the 2nd time in a week. the 1st time we actually caught fish that could be cooked . So i thought today would be better. NO NOT @ all. I miossed everything that pulled my lonely hook. But No my 8 year old has to go and catch a small and i mean small large mouth bass about 5 inches but he had fun catching it . And he caught it on Rainbow Power bait.Then off he went to ride his scotter around the park . So up comes my 4 year old (daddy you get a fish yet)NO i replied . Well can i fish ,sure what do you want to catch. Dunno just a fishie. he answers back so i put on more power bait. Bamm he gets into a channel cat (again small) but both the bass and cat had good color. Really clean looking Both fish were turned back to grow and for my long day i was rewarded with the joy of watching my boys have a minute of fun and watch them return to play like want to any way. .All in all in a few years Oquirrh is gonna be a great place to take kids. So lets all take care of this place so we can watch our kids and grandkids just be kids.
