hey everyone im new to the site and pretty new to fishing. i just moved to virginia and just bought a saltwater rod with a open faced spinning reel. i need to know how to put line on the reel. please write the answer as easy to understand as possible. thank you for any help.

Welcome to the site. Heres a link that will show you all the knots you may need. Arbor knot is the one to put your line on to the reel with. If you are putting a braided line on, put a small piece if tape or bandaid,[ just the sticky part] to the reel first. This will keep the line from slipping. Before I could assist you with any info, I would need to konw which reel you are using, make and modle.
being that there are a dozen types of reels, loading insturctions between them vary drasticaly....
