Well we hit Pelican on sunday with the grand kids and had a ball catching bass and gills of all sizes ....
We left Salt Lake at 3:45 and got to Pelican by 7:00 long trip but well worth it the fishing was great and the catching was even better sent a few pictures over to TD to post when he gets time....
Oh yes the BUGS are working over time, and if you don't keep your mouth shut you don't need lunch....(not biting just buzzing)

Nice looking fish you have. It looks like it was a trip well worth the drive. I want to get out there and try for some of the fat mosters the call blue gill.

Fished Pelican this weekend. The fishing was great. Nice gills and lots of bass. Drop shotted the channel with cutters in pearl and chartruese with the greatest success for bass. The gills came from the west side on meal worms. Great fishery. I just wish there were more lakes like Pelican.

Nice report bassrods. I'm glad to see that Pelican is still productive. TubeDude used to take me there as a kid. We would spank the Gills right and left.[cool]

Those are just a few of the 20+ pictures we took my one grandson says we got over 60+ bass and 10 to 15 gills we left the lake at 2:30 for home...

Don't ya just love those days like that at Pelican. FB2 and I have at least one of those every year up there. This year I get to take the grandson myself. It's gonna be so much fun!!

I have two granddaughters that beat the boys at fishing when they can all go and the girls say its there turn next...

Aint grandkids the greatest. All the fun and joy but none of the work! When they get cranky or dirty ya just give em back to mom. Yahooo fish on.
