Made a camping trip to Twin Lakes a few days ago. Had a good time fishing for bluegills. The weather was great but it was crowded. There was a bass tournament there Saturday. I also took time to do some bass fishing. We also caught a few trout, crappie and perch. Here are a few pictures of some colorful bluegill.





This is a picture of a bluegill I dubbed "one-eyed-jack". My friend caught him twice on Saturday.


Here are a couple more pictures. The first one is a largemouth and second one is a crappie.

Wow! Quite the mixed bag Brian. Looks like a good place to take children. Where is it located? se id? How far from say malad?

Twin Lakes is located between Downey and Preston in SE Idaho. If ya know where Banida is, your there!

From Malad, I would guess its about 45 minutes? Go N. on I15 to Downey and head toward Preston, its on the south side of the road. I believe its a $5 fee to enter the lake area (its a private lake).

Also, just a couple miles farther down the road toward preston, on the NE side of the road is a little reservoir called Winder. Also a good kids spot, no boats (Twin Lakes will be packed with skiers and jet skis) and no fees.

Of course, I think my 5 year old caught all the bluegills out of winder last saturday LOL
