Okay where to start. First off got to lost creek at 730 at the dam and was on the water by 8 am. Right off the bat a small bow, then another, same for my buddy, then nothing. Stopped fishing at 11 am, decided to go get some lunch and figure out where to go next.
After the drive home and to lunch we decided to stop at a local pond in clearfield where we have had luck before catching catfish. Hit the water about 2 pm and from then till about 430, between 3 of us had landed about 25 cats, 2 keeps the rest 12-15 inches.
Okay the rod holders worked out good, like tubedude said, bottom of the poles did get a little wet, but was thinking of putting something on the bottom holes to keep the water out. The bar across the middle which has the rod holders attached, seemed to help with my seat issue somehow. usually the back slouches after about an hour, but did not happen until we were about to leave, plus it makes a good place to rest your arms, etc. I am not sure about having to make the holders bigger, will have to check on that some more, went in all the up to the reels, but loved it. One of the pics is me catching the keeper I landed, and having another kittie on the other pole. I was using 4lb test line so it took a few minutes to get the one in, then pulled in the other. Last week had a similar situation happen and almost lost a pole, but thanks to the rod holders it stayed till I was ready to reel it in!
Thanks for all the help in the best of the best threads, without all the info I would not have what I have now, so thanks to everyone.
