I have been thinking about joining a Bass Fishing Club and there are several here near Boise. I was wondering if anyone could offer any helpful suggestions. I don't really know anything about Bass fishing, don't have a boat and just really want to learn, meet new friends, and get to be a better angler.

The clubs I am considering are:

Idaho Bass Masters
Seekers Fishing Club
Boise Bass Busters

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Idaho Walleye Unlimited, Treasure Valley Chapter, 7 p.m. Tuesday at Round Table Pizza, 395 W. State St., Eagle. Don, 850-7742 or 461-1723.

I've talked with these people multiple times and what a great group of people. At these pizza meetings, talking about all kinds of fishing is what they do, and of course visit. Swing by one night when they are there and chat a bit. It not a bass club, but I'm sure there are some members that can point you in the right way.

I think these walleye guys/gals meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month, I could be wrong though. It could be the first week.

Hey thanks Jessie, great idea. I will check them outfor sure. Never been Walleye fishing, I bet that is fun!!!

And I havn't forgotten about your special little Bass pond there in Emmett. Are they still biting? I have been trying to get away for a couple of weeks to no avail. The chores keep piling up... have to build a floor and move the shed this weekend. I keep telling my wife that fishing is oh so much more important but she isn't buying it yet. [crazy]

Please do give a report though I really want to catch a Bass this Summer.

The funny thing about the walleye club is that there really isn't alot of places to fish for walleye in Idaho, so thats why they talk about all kinds fishing. They have had booths at the fairs and they sponser the walleye tourney at Salmon Falls Reservoir.

I haven't forgot about getting together, and I maybe free next week either during the week or the weekend. I've been busy also, between working and my big project at the house. We hopefully will be pouring a huge concrete pad this coming Monday, or at least prepping for it. I got my shed moved a couple weeks ago, what a pain.
I think Fishtoe and a couple others might be interested in also hooking up when the times right.

[Smile] Welcome !! yes the Boise chapter meets 2nd tues every month and yes will occastionly do talk about all species of fish. That would be a great club to join if you are boatless{so Sad though}. We have state wide fun fishes coming up shortly and will enjoy putting you into a ride.Walleyes can be found in 3-4 lakes in Idaho. But shore fishing them would be tough. I always have at least 1 boat for sale. Another really fun club to join would be superior bass : they always are looking for non-boaters. contact Western Marine and the'll set you up.Just because a club is holding tourneys doesn't mean it's just for money. ALL of the clubs {bass&walleye} give back large amounts of money back to regular anglers thru education and conservation projects. Thank You for the inquiry and welcome to BFT. Kurt
