Me and Jimflash went out to his place at lake sinclair it was kinda slow, we caught several crappie and jim caught a few channel cats. I caught 4 bass throwing a strikeking spinnerbait off a dock, it was fun even though the fishing wasnt great. Then on sunday I went out to Horse creek, I had a 5 foot gator hanging out with me. Crazy gator would swim up to me and just sit there, I'd go to another spot and it would follow me and just sit there. Anyways I didnt have much luck with the gator hanging out, hooked into a spotted gar and a big 13-15 pound mudfish that tore up my spinnerbait. At first I thought I had a 10 pound plus bass on untill that thing started jumping. Even though people talk bad about bowfin I think there a blast to catch, they can fight with the best of em. Anyone have any luck this last weekend?

A friend and I fished a pond near Irwinton Saturday afternoon, the first time either of us had fished there. I caught a 12" largemouth on my first cast, throwing a watermelon Zoom lizard. It was about a hundred and fifty degrees out, so we only fished for an hour or so. We caught seven between us, all about the same size. The pond was full of grass, you couldn't retrieve without bringing a glob of it in. That's a shame, because the pond really looks like it could hold some nice fish.

we were doing a kids derby on Berry lake sunday, fishing in the middle of the day we saw little action too, other than the cat fish "yellow bullhead" who showed up so we couldnt say we didnt catch any thing all day...[laugh]

was a hot day.... I spent most of it chacing after the shade of a tree I was sitting under....

we convinced some non fishing parrents who were not in to fishing in to fishing, and we showed them there is real benifit for kids learning how to fish and oppertunities it opens up for them in the future...

Jimflash and I went out to kings crossing lake sunday, I got skunked its been awhile since thats happend[unsure] But Jim caught a nice 4lb bass and a few about 2 1/2lbs. He was throwing a chartruse rooster tail. I tried about everything I could think of, had a nice fish on a babybass fluke but it threw the hook. Atleast we know theres some good fish in there, maybe we'll pull a hawg out of there next time.
