My wife and I went camping in the Boulder mountains this last week. I was way hot! We hiked to Fish Creek Lake, a 6 mile round trip, and fished for 2 hours. I caught the only fish of the day, which is one more than I expected for the conditions. Full moon, scorching heat, middle of the day. Caught it on a maribou jig, purple on black. After that hike, we decided that would be the only mountain lake hike we would do. We ended up coming home early, but we did fish the reservior at the petrified forrest in Escalante. All planters, but 3 species in an hour. Bluegil, LMB, and rainbows. 110 degrees is just too hot. But it was still lots of fun!
