[cool][#0000ff]Yesterday I was searching for info on various kinds of cushions, which might be useful in creating a more comfortable ride on my new H3. Low and be old, some company has actually developed a special cushion for folks with "emissions" problems. Wondered if it might help us tubers to avoid polluting the pristine environment after we consume too much of the wrong kinds of goodies.[/#0000ff]

[font "Lucida Console"][#ff4040][laugh]Now that is just too funny!![/#ff4040][/font]

[black][size 3]I agree, that is really funny.[/size][/black]
[size 3][/size]
[size 3]I thought that this was the reason that tubers and tooners wear chest waders, We don't have to share. Ha Ha[/size]

[cool][#0000ff]Also explains the red eyes and hacking cough known as "Tuber-culosis".[/#0000ff]

I was wondering if they had a cure for the swamp gas.
I swear! Every lake and even spots that I fish in the ocean, always have that one common odor. I could never figure it out.[crazy]
[signature]
So the fish won't be able to hear us approaching from now on, eh? [

Not only that, we will be forced to apply Mosquito repellant again.[shocked]

but its fun to make bubbles.....

Take a look at thisPat.

That looks pretty cool Mojo but I couldn't find the Decibel reduction rating on it. It think we can safely say that "If a man farted in his tube in the middle of a lake and no body was around to hear it, would it still make a noise?"[pirate]

[cool][#0000ff]Thanks for the link. I have looked at a couple of different wheelchair cushions.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Hey, bro, how about taking a look at the bottom cushion on your H3 for me. I suspect I have a defective seat cushion. When inflated it does not have the corrugations or ridges of the backrest...but turns into a big balloon. The cushions on the Super Fat Cat were very firm ridges and were much more comfortable. A big part of my problem with staying comfortable in the H3 is that when it is fully inflated it is too hard and when I let a bit of air out of it I slide forward out of the tube. No matter how I keep it inflated I have to keep repositioning myself. That is frustrating and it kills my back.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]I am attaching a couple of pics I took.[/#0000ff]
[signature]
I just went out and pulled mine and in flated it (not rock hard mind you) but I have the ridges in mine. It lookes more like your back rest. I would say, you have a problem with yours!

But the trick I use.....I let Baxster in flate mine[laugh]

hehehe I notice the baxster man wants to get in on the act... lol...

[cool][#0000ff]Thanks for posting the pic. I suspected there was a problem with mine because it was like trying to sit on a basketball...instead of a bench type seat like the SFC was. Then, if I tried letting out a little bit of air, it turned soggy and let me slide right out the front. [/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]I have been fighting that seat for several trips and everybody keeps telling me the problem is MINE...not the tube. Hopefully I can get a replacement from Dave.[/#0000ff]

Beautiful dog.

Tube Dude, I was standing right next to Dave this morning when I heard him say PAT. I knew it was you and I was going to PM you that I was headed up there.
He will bend over backwards for you. I told him of the picture you posted and he said "Honestly, that has never happened before".
One thing you guys gotta remember, these things are built like nothing else out there and they may look Bullet Proof, but they are not.
Be careful not to over inflate. They are big enough to hold you up with out being rock hard.
I am not saying this is the problem with your pad, but it did look pretty full. If the channels weren't there that would be a big problem and it looks like that is what has happened to yours.
I had a Colmen Matteress that the Channels came undone and it too looked like a big Marshmellow.
Larry uses a foam pad inside the seat and he too is a big guy. I tried the patch of carpet (mainly because we forgot to put it back in the truck before we parked it) and it was NICE!

[cool][#0000ff]Just so's ya know, I have never inflated the seat with more than lung power. Dave and I discussed that. He said they are tested at 30 PSI and lung power alone is incapable of doing more than about 1 PSI.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]The problem existed the first time I launched. It was a round balloon for the seat. It was a defective bladder. You can clearly see when it is removed and inflated that there were no seams to begin with.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Even without getting a new bladder, I was able to get a fairly comfortable ride Monday and Tuesday by inserting a 1" thick piece of foam between the air bladder and the top of the seat, to firm it up and stabilize it. Then, I used a "stadium seat" as in the attached picture. It really rode quite comfy.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Dave assured that this WAS the first such problem they have experienced and is sending a replacement overnight. I will test the real deal and go from there.[/#0000ff]

Like I said in my post, I am not saying you did over inflate. I recall you saying you inflate by mouth.
It is the old SH%$*T Happens thing. I know your opinion means a lot to Dave, so be sure and stay in touch with anything you think needs to be paid attention to.
We talked also about the two reviews on Cabela's site and had a good laugh. It is so apparent that neither reviewers have ever sat in an H3. I specially like the one with the gentleman saying he is over 6' and he couldn't reach the water.......DUH...WHAT![laugh][laugh][laugh][laugh]
[signature]
[cool][#0000ff]The BOGUS reviews on Cabelas site was also a topic of discussion when I called Dave. I offered to do whatever I could to offset them. He seems to think that it works more to their benefit, because everybody calls and asks "What's up?". Gives them a chance to tell their side of the story and suggest that the reviews were probably written by someone who had never even been aboard an H3...or one of their competitors. He knows that serious tube shoppers are not completely stupid and that something so outrageous as the things in those reviews are not worth taking seriously.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]By the way, my guess on the guy who "couldn't reach the water" was either sitting in his backyard, or in the back of his truck, and probably had "a load on"...if ya know what I mean.[/#0000ff]

I see Baxter is practicing for the Doggie hooka's hehe.
