Hey all you BFTers in the sunny state of Cali, what going on? I will be on a family vacation in September and we will be in the Pismo Beach area. I was wondering if any of you could recommend any charter service to go out with for rock fish? And any info on what gear I would need to obtain

No license is required for pier fishing, but is required for deep sea or surf fishing. Bait, tackle and rental gear are available on the pier. Hey Majja. I do believe the rockfish season is partially restricted in Sept for that area. You would have to come down south of Pt. Conception for full enjoyment. There are no restrictions from shore though.
Maybe you could come down to Oxnard. I fish every weekend in Oxnard and could help you get set up on a nice boat with me.
You can fish from the Pier up there. Sept is a good time for Barred Surf Perch.
