I was going to hold off on this and just show up and surprise you, but I couldn't wait.
This is why I knew Dave was talking to Tube Dude this morning.
Been kicking the idea around for months now. Love the H3's, but the old man's knees are gone and mine are going (probably from jumping off the Bar) so I like the motor.
I would like to go on trips during the week with out the old man, but that Cardiac Canyon is a bit for me to get in the water by myself, plus I have to use the trailer to get it there with my Suzuki.
Well, I went up to see the folks at North Fork this morning and came back with two NAVIGATOR II's. Man what cool boats! They are 9' long instead of the 6' H3. and have a shelf and a zipper in the back for a motor, PLUS OARS. and it all folds up small enough to fit in my Grand Vitara with room for my other gear.
Check it out Mojo's is RED....but mine is BLUE, but the back packs are red and they come with a pump and oars. Shelf is optional.

[font "Tahoma"][blue]....wowwwwwwwwwwww simply awesome.... if I remember right you mentioned having to make sure the toon/tube is balanced correctly if a motor is used.... I see these have the metal shelf that is used at a motor mount.. doesnt that add a lot of weight to the rear of the craft.. and if so how would you adjust for that without you being in the craft... [shocked] (hehehe see I do learn things from coming here and reading....lol...)[/blue][/font]

The shelf weighs maybe 1 lb. It is aluminum and very light. Place the battery right behind the seat. The motors are maybe 10 to 15lbs so not a lot of weight there either.
I have to wait till this weekend to see how it rides.[cool]

[cool][#0000ff]Veddddddy intermesting. I'm sure there are a few of us who are anxiously awaiting the shakedown cruise report.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]We know that the only REAL reason you got the larger craft was so that you could add a little doggie house on the rear for Baxter. We will await his review too.[/#0000ff]

I have to admit, Baxter did come into the picture, but only cause I can't leave him anywhere with out him shredding everything!
If you can't bet em, join em.[cool]

so somewhere behind the seat.. on the shelf .. you will have a doggie bed in place?? [sly]... talk about pimping out your tube/toon... [sly]

[signature]

speaking of Elvis.. how is he doing??

Elvis has tipped over....he sleeps a lot in this heat, but bounces off the walls in the evening. Hard to believe he is 15 yrs old.
[signature]
heheh Id say he is the smart one.. sleeps and conserves his energy during the day... drives you nuts in the evening.. Im betting he is doing that so he can keep up with the young "hot" dog.... [laugh]

oops. It looks like you forgot to rinse the H3 off with water and used miracle grow .. hehe ... Nice looking boats, I look forward to hearing the reviews, from Baxxter of coarse. With those things do you actually think you will ever take the CC out again?

...curious question... just saw a post here on registering a toon ... now.. since Scadden lists this as a hybrid between a toon and tube.. does it have to be registered.. or is registration solely dependent on whether or not there is a motor on it.. sounds to me like a catch 22 is on the way...

Yea in Utah it is if it has a motor, not what kind of craft it is.
[signature]
It;s just if you have a motor on it or a sail if you would like to go that way[laugh].

again was just a curiosity question.. saw a pow-r-tube ad the other day.. a tube with a motor attached.. so that is what got me to thinking if it was the craft ...or the motor.. so from what ya'll say that tube would end up having to be registered as well... guess it could vary by state as well...

Yeap. Once upon a time it was listed as Gas posered motor had to register. My cousin had bought a small jon boat that we used for duck hunting with a little Minkota on it. When the state decided they were loosing to much money and changed it to get more he than sold the boat.

hmmmmmmmm guess ya just cant mess with the states revenue....[sly]
