Im going to govt in the morning to try and launch my kayak. Do you guys know if there is a good spot that i can get to the water in a car?

Well, its way too damn rainy to go out in the kayak, so looks like this morning is out. But i am still wondering if you know of any easy shore access at Gov't Wash.

Hey Whizzle,

Sorry, I can't give you any specific advice. However, when I was there last Memorial Day, I recall seeing a lot of trucks, cars, tents along the shore line in that general area. I believe the cars were lined up along the shore of both Upper and Lower Gov't Wash. I recall seeing some cars at Box Car and Crawdad Coves as well. There is shore access. I just don't know how they got there...although I do recall seeing Gov't Wash signs on the road to Callville Bay. Good luck.

[cool]Hey The Whizzle, when you get to the "parking lot" with the bathroom, turn right and go thru the gate at the fence. When you get to the dumpsters take the right fork and follow it. It will wind around near the top of a hill then will go down to the water. I
launch my floattube from the shoreline there. Give us a report of your outing. I'm thinking of go there this friday.
