I received this in an e-mail and wanted to share it with all of you. I cannot verify the validity of the story below, but this bull is truly special.
Story:
I am told that the gentleman who shot
this bull is the part owner in two or three professional sports teams in the mid west/east coast. What's $130K to him?
Here's the story from AZGFD....This Bull has a huge drop tine on the right side. He was up near Show Low hanging out. There was a guy
in Show Low that got a hold of the guy that bought the auction tag for Elk last year for $130,000. The tag was still good until July 31 of this year. He took a guide fee to show the guy where the Bull was. He had been hanging around a subdivision there in Show Low. The guy flies in and goes hunting for this elk. Meanwhile, Game and Fish get wind of this and head there to make sure the whole thing is legitimate and everything is cool with taking this big Bull. Before Game and Fish catch up with these two guys, they hear the first shot. He made a bad shot on the bull and it took off running
through the subdivision. Apparently, he couldn't get another shot
since the Bull was too close to houses. People started calling reporting this injured Bull right away. Game and Fish finally locate the guys and the Bull when the guy shoots it again and puts it down.
Here's the best part.. The guy shoots twice at the Bull and both
times he was within a quarter mile of occupied structures. Game and Fish cite him twice, once for each infraction. Then they confiscate his tag and the Bull.
Game and Fish are going to do a full body mount on this huge Elk.
They are unsure if it's going to be put into the new Game and fish offices, or left in the Show Low office.
