Any reports are welcomed, I haven't been there in a couple of weeks.

I have not been either for a few weeks so I would like to know as well.

[cool][#0000ff]The up and down barometer and the water-dirtying wind have made the catfishing sporadic. But, after a day or so of moderate conditions, you can find willing kitties all around the lake.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]If the wind has been kicking up, don't look for them in the reeds. But, they are often in fairly shallow water, prowling for the abundant carp fry and small 4" white bass. Chub minnows or small pieces of carp meat...either on the bottom or below a bobber...have been getting lots of nice cats up to 10 pounds, with a lot of 5 plus fish.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The most consistent "zone" has been in the 4-5 foot depth range. But, fish are being caught from 2' to 7'. Generally you will find them shallower in the early morning and late evening and deeper at mid day.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The flats to the south of the Dikes at Lincoln Beach have been kicking out cats more the last week or so, now that the water is beginning to cool. The next 30 to 60 days should be some of the best cattin' action of the year. And, if you fish minnows or crawlers, don't be surprised if you pick up an occasional walleye...if you can keep the bait away from the abundant white bass.[/#0000ff]
