Just out of curiosity does anyone know how many camping spots are at Twin Lakes (Preston area)??? I was up there last Sat. and Sun. and meant to drive around and see, but slipped my mind. I know there is a spot for a "Camp Host" and am sure that there will be one this weekend since it is Labor Day Weekend. I tried to read everything that they had posted on the board as you first pull into Twin, but did not see any info about making reservations. I plan on leaving here (Roy, Utah) around 4:30-5:00 am on Friday morning and being up there around 7:00-7:30 am in hopes of getting a camping spot. Am I wasting my time going then? Will they all be taken? Anything I can do to help my chances of getting a spot? Any kind of info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
TS

I used to like Twin but I have a hard time fishing there when that's the association that is pushing the dam on the narrows.
I know ---- just a personal opinion.

Everybody has a right to their opinions. Its what makes the country great and message boards interesting!
I for one am very happy and thankful that the irrigators allow access to Twin Lakes, Winder and other private resevoirs.

Too bad Winder does not exist anymore!!

The link for vacation rentails Davetclown posted is for the Twin Lakes in Northern Idaho. trout_slayer is claiming to catch a lot of fish and a few nice ones so he isn't talking about the Twin Lakes by Preston.[

trout_slayer,
Sorry I didn't reply to your post early. As you probably know now there are about 30(???) camping spots at Twin Lakes. There are spots on the North Shore of the North Lake and some spots on the West Shore. I believe it costed me $10 a night earlier this summer for a spot, and it covered 2 vehicles and a boat or camper. There are no "hook ups" for Camp trailers at Twin Lakes.
I looked on the Utah board and saw that you had another great weekend. Now we just need to get you to post your reports on the right board and convince you to stop telling people from "South of the Boarder" that Idaho has just as good of bass fishing.[

Yeah I still get kind of

as to where I live and where I would like to live if you know what I mean. Camping didnt cost a thing this time, matter of fact everything is free at Twin. I called a number that I found on the internet and the lady said since the water is so low she did not expect a big turn out for Labor Day weekend or the rest of the summer so now you dont have to pay to get into Twin!!! Hope I didnt ruin the secret[

]. I will do my best to post on the Idaho board more often since I am up there at least twice a month now.
