Fished Crowley for the whole Labor day weekend to get a feel for it and get ready for the Double-Haul tourney, and the fished was awesome.

Counts go like this:
9/1:
John: 12 fish with 4 over 18" and 2 around 20".(Only fished till 12)
Ryan: 15 fish with 4 over 18" and one around 21".(Fished till 2)
Jesse: 7 fish with one over 18". (Only fished tell 12 and still learning how to fly fish)
Me: 18 fish with 4 over 18" and 2 around 21". (Fished till 2)

9/2:
John: 14 fish with 6 over 18" and 3 around 21".(Fished till 2)
Ryan: 12 fish with one over 18". (Fished till 2)
Jesse: 10 fish with 3 over 18" and 1 around 20".(Fished till 12)
Me: 28 fish with at least 7 over 18" and 3 being 21"(Fished till 2)

9/3:
I was the only one to fish today and I caught 19 fish with 4 being over 18" and 3 of those 21-22". Only fished tell 11.

Fishing was not wide open but was very steady and the fish were big! Most fish were 16-19' that we caught with a few small ones in there. All fish were caught with streamers and the midgers werent doing that good.

For the first time in 18 years I didn't make it up for Labor Day. My daughter is close to having a child any day now so we stayed closer to home.

So, now when we call Tube Dude and Tube Babe GREAT! we are referring not only to the fact that they "have Skills", but the fact that they are Great Grand Parents!

Yes! There will be a new Tuber in the fambly. Yes it will be the first great grand Tuber also.

I figure I can start the little guy in an ice chest floaty in the bath tub and then when size permits, he can use the ole Fishmaster that I started with in the 70s.[cool]
