Hit Deer Creek from 11-7, from the shore. I was suppose to go to jordanelle but didn't buy a float tube in time. Anyways went to the state marina. Never bass fished there. Started out fishing a senko 4 inch in a new color that just came in. its smoke and white with purple specks. I fished it weightless till the wind kicked up. Had fair success with it. Then I finally gave in to drop shotting. I started smoking them. The size of the fish definitely increased. Nothing huge today. Maybe 13 inches was the biggest bass. But the stunner of the day was casting my favorite panther martin out. I threw it as far as i could and when it hit the water a 16 inch walleye took it. Also got a smaller trout and one largemouth. So i need to get out to jordanelle. So if anyone wants to show me the ropes out there. I would love to go. Got to go get a float tube..

Another good report TW. Catching a walleye with a Panther Martin(PM) is a first that I have never heard of before but it must work. Do you mind sharing what color PM you were using? WH2

yeah i was using a size 9 in the yellow body with red spots and the blade has a red slash marks on it. I have caught about 5 walleyes this year on that spinner up there. But never when it it the water. I usually let it sink at slowly roll it over the rocks.. but all my walleye this year have come on accident by fishing for smallies.

I'm not sure why but that color has always worked for me as well, although I've never caught a eyes on it. Maybe I should give it a try on my next eye outing. WH2
