Hello,
I just got my first baitcaster and its not doing what i expected. I read the instructions on setting it up and took it out to the lake. Casted out (like it says) and it goes like 10-15 ft out... Then My uncle (he has 3 baitcasters) and it did the smae thing. Any ideas?

Welcome aboard and thanks for the question.

As was mentioned, line size and weight of lure are key factors. One more factor is that the cast control (small knob near the drag) is set so that the lure can free fall.

You will need to set the over run control from there.

Please let us know the line size and lure wt 1st so that we can give you a better and more precise diagnosis as well as good sound advice on making adjustments.[cool]
