CONCORD, N.H. - If you're thinking about hunting this fall to put a holiday turkey on the table, don't miss a free talk featuring N.H. Hunting Guide John Asseng and N.H. Fish and Game Wildlife Biologist Mark Ellingwood. "Wild Turkey Habits and Fall Hunting Tactics" will be presented on Wednesday, September 26, from 7-8:30 p.m. at New Hampshire Fish and Game Department headquarters on Hazen Drive in Concord. No pre-registration is needed -- just show up. Come early to get a good seat.

for turkeys, since he has hunted spring and fall turkeys in New Hampshire and Vermont for over 15 years. Currently the president of the New Hampshire Guides' Association, Asseng also works as a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Park Ranger. He spends countless hours in the woods chasing various quarry, but his love for eastern wild turkey hunting still tops his list.Â
