The Arizona Game and Fish Department is hosting an open house on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., to give the public an opportunity to view the Ben Avery Shooting Facility conceptual design that is part of the Ben Avery Master Plan.
The open house will be held at La Quinta Inn, 2510 W. Greenway Road, Phoenix, Arizona.
The proposed design incorporates many of the suggestions received at user group and focus group meetings in October 2006 and February 2007. Personnel from the Arizona Game and Fish Department and Logan Simpson Design will be on-hand to display maps and answer questions. There is no formal presentation, so those interested can come by at any time between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
A map of the conceptual design is posted on the Arizona Game and Fish Department Web site at www.azgfd.gov/basf.
The complete draft master plan, including the conceptual design, will be made available for public review in early November.
