Put my canoe and dog in at the ladders and headed out trolling...had great success, caught 10 within the 1st hour and then it slowed way down...The weather was perfect and the fish were surfaceing all morning long...Seemed to do best with silver kastmaster, tried all sorts of spinners and caught 3 more...all cuts in the slot...ran into kent and friends jigging as well. Got off at 11:30 am and of course there were some BFT friends that helped me load my canoe onto my car....Thanks again guys for your help..

I was up there yesterday as well. Got a late start and arrived at 8:30AM. Put the float tube in at Mud Creek and fished there. I found the fish to be relatively shallow and in or near the weeds. They were quite scattered as well. No one area was holding lots of fish. There weren't a lot of surfacing fish at MC, but those I did see usually would strike when I casted to them. I spent some time (unproductively) trying to find a school of deeper fish to vertically jig to but was unsuccessful in that regard. Chartreuse tubes worked the best for me, using a twitching retrieve. All my fish were caught in about 15 ft of water or less or in the top 5-6 ft. of the water column. The bite shut off by 1 PM. All fish caught were slot cutts, mostly 19 and 20 inchers. It was nice to be up there. The wind was reasonable, the day pleasant and there was an elk bugling in the mountains above Mud creek. All good.

We managed to catch some, but I would not consider it hot catching. The weather was much better than I expected, which was a nice suprise.

The guys that helped me get the canoe ontop of the car, pulled a few rainbows, the biggest was I think 25" and a 17"....That was a big bow....they had pretty good luck in the shallower part of the day..infact kent it was the aluminum boat closer to shore in from you guys.

We caught three rainbows on our boat which were invited home to dinner (or was it for dinner?).
