Hi There,

I hope you can help me. My dad has been fishing even before I was born and it is his true passion. I have always given him fishing rods and reels as gifts - and since I was a student I bought everything in a $50-80 range. Now I am working and I'd love to give him one of the best reels out there. I have no idea what it is. All I know he has hundreds of them and I'd like to wow him. I know none of his equipment is extremely high end. He is most of the time fishing in freshwaters (in Poland, where my family lives). Any idea for good brand reels and where I can buy them? I know he likes fishing for trout and salmon.

What a great idea! I am sure he will cherish his new reel.

If he is fishing moving bodies of water and likes a spinning reel I would reccomend the Shimano Stella. I have 2 and love them! They have one of the smoothest drags you'll ever fish and are durable and well made!
