The Fall Turkey Season in New Jersey opens in less than two weeks and leftover permits are available for all zones except Zone 21. Over 2,500 permits remain for Turkey Zones 1 through 11 and Zone 20. The fall season runs from Monday, October 29 through Saturday November 3. Fish and Wildlife turkey biologists expect hunters to see plenty of turkeys this fall since poult production and poult survival were both good this spring and summer.

Permits can be purchased via the on-line licensing system at https://www3.wildlifelicense.com/nj/start.php

or at a license agent. The only Division office that sells permits is the Pequest Office. Permits cost $21.00 for each adult permit and $12.00 for each youth permit.

For more information on over-the-counter turkey permit sales call the 24-hour computerized permit hotline at 609-292-9192. The "real time" report on actual permit availability is at https://www3.wildlifelicense.com/nj/ALS/unit_report.php.
