[cool]Send a p.m. to Cliff (Bassrods). As I'm sure you know, he's a harcore bass chaser, but this time of year he starts getting the itch just like the rest of us to nail some slime rockets through the early season ice, and he often drives his pickup clear up there weekly or multiple times p/week even just to check if there's safe ice yet.

well the set up was right for a quick freezzzz on huntington last night.. it snowed for 2 days up there the snow helps drop the surfice temp of the water. then the clouds moveing out last night and the temp's droped well bellow freezing last night.. could be some ice on huntington this morning.. it's only 20* here in the valley this morning.. so i'm thinking it has to be bellow 0* up there and if there was no wind last night.. Hum i might have to run up and take a look.. lol [sly]

Looks like it was 45 degrees up there (on top at Mammoth-Cottonwood) Saturday morning, and it is 14 degrees now (up from 13 earlier today). We just need to quit having those 45 degree days and we could form some ice up there.
