Hey guys-

I have the rare fishing trifecta this Friday - 1) wife out of town, 2) kids out of town, and 3) day off work. With work and home, I haven't gotten out yet this season, and want to make it count!

I am planning on hitting Strawberry this Friday in my tube, and was wondering if anyone has braved Strawberry this time of year in a tube. Is it worth it, or is it just to cold?

I was planning on hitting the coves right around the Soldier Creek launch, and throwing white tube jigs to the moss like Bassrods suggested a few days ago. Does that sound like the best strategy from a tube this time of year?

Also, if anyone with a boat was planning a trip up there this Friday, I would love to invite myself and help pay for gas. I know it's a little brash to invite myself onto someone else's boat, but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask. I've always been amazed at how gracious guys have been here at BFT at sharing their resources and expertise.

If you layer well you'll be fine. I think Oct. and Nov. are great times for tubes since the fish are moving in shallow. Hope to make it one more time myself before the ice comes on.

Unless there's adverse W, if you layer and don't have any pinholes (as some do) in your waders you'll be just fine. We fished it in a pretty bad storm a couple of weeks ago and the only problem was cold hands. It was awesome fishing though.

like the others have said layer good but do not restrict circulation, and I always like to take a set of those little hand warmers and place them on my tows in between my liner socks and wool socks. They keep the toes nice and toasty and you only need to wear the two pair of socks. I also go in my breathable waders. I went out when the water temps were in the high 30's late year and stayed nice and warm. Good luck maybe I will see ya there. I might end up with the day off work.
