I went to Glendale on Saturday float tubbing. The water was very cold but the fishing was good. I caught 6 rainbows and missed probably another 15 or 20. My Dad caught 12 rainbows. They ranged from about 17" to 10". They are very healthy and in good shape. I did catch 3 bass as well. My first on was 12". I than hooked on that I new was big. I got him right to my tube and got a good look at him. I guessed that he was 15" and wouldn't be above the slot. He was very fat and a nice fish. I tried to lip him and he got off. I than caught another one and landed him. When I measured him he was 15 1/2". I was sick because the other one was at least 3" bigger and probably 2 or 3 lbs heavier. I which that I would have used my net now so that I could have measured him and taken some pictures. It was a good day of fishing. We only fished for about 3 hours. Everything I caught was on a brown leech.

Sounds fun. I am sniffing out some hardwater but with the weather conditions I may have to head back out in the tube one more time.

What was the water level at? Can you launch a boat? I am hoping some of those Preston area lakes are starting to fill back up now.

Glendale is about 1/2 full. You can't launch a boat on there yet. I have seen it this way a lot and in the spring it is always full. We have to hope for a good winter. Lamont is almost all the way full already. I don't know how the fishing is on there. I know that Treasureton is full and fishing really good. I hope this cold spell will put some ice in the lakes soon. When Glendale does freeze please be careful on the edges. Because they are always filling it they are alway soft.

Thanks for the info. I went up and fished the Oneida Narrows today (only caught 12 trout) and took a drive by Glendale and noticed it was really low. There were a lot of bank tanglers out there though. Foster was about 1/2-3/4 full though. I thought they were draining Foster for good? Anyhow, maybe I will head up to those other lakes next weekend. Can you launch at those others? How about Twin or Condie? Thanks again.

The Narrows have been a funny place lately. It seems you either really kill them or have a hard time fishing them. Foster will be full by spring. I don't know anything about Condie. I do know that you can launch at Twin. Also Lamont is full and you could launch there.
