Drove up to Huntington just for another look see...took a few pictures of that flat glass ice.
Pictures taken off the dam at Huntington...and you could look down through the ice and see the fish swimming around the edges of the moss beds...

I don't think I would congregate so closely, and would have my ice spike handles and rope nearby, too!

From years past the ice at the temps there was will grow about 3/4 to 1" per day once capped so the ice up there is 3" to 4" by now but watch for thin spots and let the ice talk to you....

Hey! That was us on the ice!
the ice by the damn is about 3 inches thick. Found thicker ice a little bit further out. 3.5-4 inches.
