Pretty slow for panfish for me today in NW end. My nose noted that Brody (lunkerhuter2) and Gage did manage enough for a fish fry [cool]. He also resupplied me with BFT stickers!

Ice was no more than 3" anywhere I drilled, and one spot was clearly less though I did not measure as I quickly left to a distance and then listened to it gurgle for several minutes. So be careful out there guys!

Earlier in morning I had stopped at SE corner and there were three out fishing, I walked out to a hole they had drilled 25 feet from shore and ice was not quite 4", but not the clear solid stuff you like, so I left to the aforementioned NW corner. Holes from yesterday had only about 1/2" ice on them, so it was not a hard freeze last night.

Thanks for the report.
I'm going to try it in the morning with my son and grandson.
We will be careful and watch for the thin ice.
We will have a 2 way on channel 7-0 if anyone else takes a radio, give us a shout.

It's supposed to get down to 8 or 9 F. tonight, so I'm crossing my fingers that it freezes up a bit more.

Planning on meeting Geoff in the a.m., and he needs to be there- just in case the ice is too thin I'll have him drill the holes while I toss a line in standing from shore. [Wink]
