I stopped by Newton today and there were 4 wheeler tracks out across the whole length of the pond! So I walked down west of the big cement pad and found a big rock walked out a ways and it took me 3 times of throwing it in the same spot to get through I reached in and I would say 3" of solid ice!! Thanks for the update Jamie. Those guys on the ice with 4 wheelers are sure taking chances, a good way to lose their rides if they stopped on some thin ice.

Yea Curt thats what I thought also they must have some big COCONUTS !! When I stepped out on it and it groanded and cracked a little with my fat a$$ i thought that guy was crazy!! It should be a good year at Newton with the water level up higher then the last few the fish should have no problem surviveing. M.H.

The DWR did a fish population survey there at Newton a couple months back and found that it was loaded with fish. I might drop in.
