Took a drive down to the lindon boat ramp today. Found ice inside the harbor about 1" maybe 1.5". I didn't dare put two feet on it. It did hold weight of one foot.[unimpressed]

Everybody be careful when it does freeze. When I was there, there were a couple of kids and a dad throwing rocks onto the ice. Bad news for the augur blades.

I drove by Lindon today too. What's with the closed signs on the gate? Those are new since the last time I was there. They also plowed the snow into piles so that you can't go west of the bathrooms. Anybody know the story?

In the past the gate is closed in the "Off" season. The gate is normally not locked. I have always driven in and paid my fee at the guard house. I think last year the snow was also pushed up on the west side and all access to the harbor was by way of the boat launch.

Lindon boat harbor is privately owned. The owners can close it at any time. The gate is usually left open or unlocked for those "die hards". But they still would like you to pay the dues.

I believe they plow the snow up like that, so nobody does "doughnuts". And possibly mess up there graded out areas.

I buy a season pass every year. It's where I prefer to launch my boat at Utah Lake. I go there a couple of times a month and I've never seen the "sorry were closed" signs on the gate like that. I often open the gate in the morning, I hope they haven't changed their policy about that.
