Hey everyone, I just thought I'd let you know that I will be moving in early January to Washington, after living in Utah for nearly 28 years. I'll still keep up utahfishinginfo.com, but I won't be fishing in Utah that much.
Since I have lots of family here, I should be back to visit every once in awhile, but now I get to fish the ocean as well as freshwater!
Any fishing tips or ideas on good places to go in the Seattle area would be much appreciated if you know of any.

It's too bad you will be leaving Utah Kevin but it sounds like you will be getting to do a lot more fishing or at least salt water fishing, should be a blast. Good luck, hope you find some good fishing grounds[

[cool][#0000ff]Hey Kevin, what makes you think you will do more fishing there than you did here?[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I have fished all up and down the coast and back in the drier parts of the state too. Good fishing everywhere. Many places to fish inside Puget Sound, for many species. But, lots of streams with salmon and steelhead and small lakes all over the place with great trout. Some of the lakes inland are fantastic for warm water species.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I'm sure you will get around to driving out on the Olympic Peninsula. Besides being beautiful it has some fantastic steel head fishing in season...if you can stand the constant heavy downpours (rain).[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Plenty of good tackle shops up there to help you gear up and find the best spots. Keep us posted on your new ventures.[/#0000ff]

I'm excited to go regardless. I'll definitely be exploring the Olympic Peninsula and finding some good camping/fishing spots out there. I think I can deal with the rain -- a fair tradeoff for no longer having all those freezing cold days and nights in the teens during the winter.
