[size 1]Hi folks. Long time no type. Been a very busy boy (thank god my busiest time has been in the winter).
Anyways, here is the long-promised 2nd part of our fishing trip down the Delaware this past September.

Those were quite the little rapids you had there. Looked to rough to do any fishing. But on a trip like that... catching fish is just a bonus on an already great trip.

Thanks for sharing...

Part 2 was every bit good. Sharper hooks may help you on the next round. A hook sharpener can get you by in the mean time.

Good luck on the next trip and I can't wait to see part 3.[cool]

That river can be a little tuff to fish. It has changed a lot in the past 2 yrs because of all the flooding. I used to be able to pull some large smallies out of the eddies now it seems like I'm getting dinks out of the rapids, but a lot more than usual. Also if you like walleye just throw any kind of lure out that will get down at least 8' and troll it behind you while you're paddling. I have never targeted them but I always catch them the same way, and they are hitting silly things like terminater spinner baits, and yozuri jerk baits. What part of the river did you paddle?

Hey there Tail

In three days we fished from Narrowsburg to about five miles past Lackawaxen.
Thing is, I got plenty takes but with my medium light rod and 8lb mono, I think there was way too much slack, allowing the smallies to toss all my hooks.
I agree though, about 80% of what I lost were dinks.

I live about 8mi from the river by Dingmans Ferry. I have found I have caught my biggest fish a few weeks after the ice is gone. White Senkos with black and a white flake did real good for a while.
