I know a few people map places on deer creek to fish for the 'eyes in the winter. They're pretty structure oriented, so if you can find the right type of stuff, you can tangle with the 'eyes. There are a few who put in their time on starvation every year, and they are usually rewarde for it. Utah lake is the closest, best bet still though...

Any of the lakes in Northern Wis. and Minn. are usually great after first ice.[]

eyes in winter. utah is closest but yuba is best if or when it does freze.

YUBA?? there is only one walleye in Yuba... thats way they can't come back.. it's tryed to breed with the perch but keeps eating it's mate's !! [sly]

opener is gettin close. herd anything on the hard deck situation there. might get to throw a few things back in and head down for those wall hanger perch.lol biggest i caught was 11 incher this summer.

i had a buddy do a drive by 2 day's ago. the south bay of corse is iced. he said it looked like it had ice close to the island but was not much.. with the wether being warmer the last 2 days might be a little while longer.. soon tho it's comeing my friend prepair for the battle to begin [sly].
you know i'm going to a diffrent part and looking for bigger fish with lot's of teeth tho.. i just need one perch to call them in. lol (joke)!
