We headed up to causey this morning and after missing the turnoff we ended up at powder mountain. We finally got to causey around 9 this morning, parked at the damm. First step onto the ice my foot went all the way to the bottom, we then turned around and headed for pineview. Arrived at pineview and helped some kids push there car back up on the road after getting stuck. We fished the narrows in 12 ft. of water. I saw no action on the fish finder so moved into deeper water. While drilling a hole in 28 ft. of water my buddy was reeling in a muskie, looked to be in the 20-24" range. We ended up moving out to 40ft of water before seeing anything on the finder. I caught 4 small perch, 4"max and my buddy caught one that went 8-9 inches. We had a lot of movement on the bottom but our nightcrawlers were not the fish catching kind. Overall a slow but beautiful day on the lake.
