Two Oakland County parks are closer to receiving Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund (NRTF) grants, following action at a recent meeting of the Michigan NRTF Board.

West Bloomfield Township has been recommended for a $500,000 grant to pay for improvements at Marshbank Park; and the state Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has been recommended to receive $250,000 for electrical system upgrades at the Proud Lake Recreation Area.[url "http://www.spinalcolumnonline.com/Articles-i-2007-12-12-54311.113117-Local_facilities_recommended_for_NRTF_grants.html"]| more >>|[/url]





Well it is understandable now why the state parks arent getting the funding any more, Parks like marshbank are not state owned or run parks, they are metro parks run by a privet orginization...
