We cooked the burbot by steaming them in a vegetable steamer with a couple table spoons of lemon juice in the water and a little garlic. Just a few minutes. Ate dipped in butter again with a little lemon and garlic in it. The Burbot are in big trouble here. They are not fishy tasting. They really are more lobster like in flavor. Ate way too much.[shocked] Usually do with the good stuff. I will be back for more.

Sounds great, thanks. Here is another way for you to try.

Tom's Burb O' Lobster:

1 Liter of Sprite
Lots of Burbot
1 Stick of Butter

Poor 1 liter of sprite into a medium pot and bring it to a boil.
Cut the burbot into 1" by 2" strips (the thicker the better)
Once the sprite is boiling drop the burbot strips into the pot, when they float to the top they are cooked and must be removed immediately. Dip the strips into warm butter.

Enjoy!!!

I was wondering when or if you had eaten your burbot yet, sounds like a great way to try them the next time we go out. I should have saved some of mine, instead of boiling them. Hey Dan, how is the weather up there, it's 76* down here[Wink].

Oh its cold up here. But it is building the hard deck. Hope you get some sun burn.......just a little anyway[cool]. We ate all the Burbot. It was so good I couldnt help it, ate way to much[laugh]. Now I have to get more. Eat a Burbot let a bass go. Or a trout, anything except maybe a striper at Powell. Unless its a big one...........
Have to try some of the other ways to cook them too. Merry Christmas
