Hey all! I drove by Rockport today...was working and couldn't stop to fish but wanted to report that the lake is solid and a few people were out on the hard water.
If anyone has been out there please respond and tell me how it was...want to get my kids up there soon!

Liar, liar, pants on fire.....[Wink][Wink][Tongue]. Hahaha. just messin with u. First ice is the only time to bother with any of these lakes. Now's the best time for any lake, but I'm too obsessed with one secret location tying me down. It takes waders but i'm willing to get wet and have my neoprenes turn into a shield-like wall when I try to peel them off afterwards.

Fished it on Thurs. Wanted to find perch. Tried 16'-40' depths. Unable to find the perch. Caught several trout that came though between 15' and 18', best in depths 30' or less. Ice was a solid 4". Really cold up there!

I was up there Saturday, (BRRRRR. Found all my fish in 17 feet of water at the 12 ft mark. Lots of activity on my finder but still a slow bite. I could not find the perch either. I talked with a group as I was leaving that told me they had caught some real nice pearch off the boat dock on the other side. I haven't been over there yet. Maybe it is time to check that out.
