Omg!!! I didn't see the other pike come in to take the released one. At first I thought the released pike coiled back to swipe the guy's hand but it's probably my misinterpretation. Know what had this almost happen to a friend at pineview like years ago. We were kids fishing for crappies in the spring. Someone had released a deeply hooked crappie and it was floating but still somewhat moving and my friend played around with it with his hand. Suddenly a tiger muskie came out of nowhere to grab the crappie and almost his hand as well. He flinched just in the nick of time.

its amazing what you find on the net! I was fishing in the boundary waters a year ago and almost had the same experience with 12 pound pike, scary!
