Wanted to hit Yuba before the crowds and new 10 fish rule kicks in so it had to be today. Hit the lake around 8 with no fish until almost 9. Ten fish later the run was over and so we moved to the other side of the island.
21.5 feet of water and fish everywhere. A large school of perch came through and I had both poles rocking when all of a sudden my boy goes look dad. 14inch trout hanging on the end of his line. Good job now get your line back in the water son.[] Over a hundred perch later we decided to call it quits and head for home. Just then a officer showed up who had been plowing the parking lots. Talked with him for awhile, caught a couple of more fish and packed it in for the day. Was a little surprised at the size of the perch.
Most of the day we were lucky enough to be catching 10 to 12 inchers. The last picture shows one of the hot lures for the day. Some of you may have one.[] One of many doubles. Even had a few triples.
Warm almost windless day. Great company and fish that were willing to play. Can't ask for more.
